NBA’s top prospect jerseys for 2017

Fultz didn’t seem to worry too much about the cut on the edge of his tongue or the interested sets of eyes that watched him in TCU’s 86 71 victory at Schollemaier Arena.

He finished the evening with 21 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and six turnovers in front of an audience in one of many auditions for future employers.

Mavericks general manager Donnie Nelson and Michael Finley, the team’s assistant VP of basketball operations, watched from behind the basket as Fultz and the Huskies (4 3) warmed up.

Coming into Wednesday night, Mavericks had the worst record in the NBA. If that continues, the Mavericks will have the highest probability of landing the top overall pick, which could be Fultz.

Sixteen NBA scouts were credentialed to watch TCU (7 0) and the Huskies play for the second time in five days.

The Maryland native scored 27 points in 25 minutes before fouling out of Saturday’s 93 80 loss to TCU in the Global Sports Classic tournament in Las Vegas. Four days later, Fultz and the Huskies were rolling early.

He quickly scored nine points, including a 4 point play in which he was fouled as he drilled a 3 pointer.

But after the hot start, Fultz slowed considerably. Five of his game high 21 points came in the last minute, after the Horned Frogs had extended their undefeated start to the season.

For the second straight game, TCU had to contend with Fultz’s athleticism and ability to change pace.

“You can see why he’s talked about,” said TCU coach Jamie Dixon.

By now, Fultz is accustomed to people talking about him and wondering how Cheap Jerseys
much better he’ll be when he gets older. Coaches like Washington’s Lorenzo Romar started watching Fultz during his sophomore year at Dematha Catholic, back when he was on the JV team.

Romar said Fultz, despite what he might say, knows scouts are constantly watching. Yet, that doesn’t seem to affect his best player.

“A lot of times people want him to be even more aggressive and shoot the ball more,” Romar said. “He’s goes out there and plays to win. He’s not playing for the scouts.”

Fultz is the only freshman among Washington’s five starters. That hasn’t stopped him from leading the team in minutes and scoring during the start of the season.

Scouts will get plenty of chances to catch Fultz before next summer, when he is expected to skip the rest of his college career and head to the pros.

But until then, those scouts will keep tabs on the talented freshman as he prepares to play for one of the NBA executives who watched him Wednesday night.
