The Jazz brass are doing their best to leave no stone unturned when it comes to finding out who the best and most NBA ready players are prior to the upcoming draft. Friday will be no different in that endeavor as the Jazz have two more groups of six scheduled to work out. Although none of the players are considered to be first round picks, there are a bunch of intriguing prospects, including a couple local studs and a pair of stars from the Pac 12.
Here is a look at how each of the 12 players performed on their most recent teams.
Appling saw significant time on the floor during all four seasons with the Spartans and turned himself into a solid lead guard. His numbers won’t blow you away, but Appling is the kind of player who will do the little things to help you win games. One of his most productive seasons came as a junior in 2012 13 when Appling averaged a career high 13.4 points as well as 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 35 games.
For his career, Appling averaged 10.6 points, three rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 142 games.
Carson spent two seasons playing for the Sun Devils before declaring for the ’14 draft. He is an explosive guard who is at his best when he is attacking the basket because of his ability to draw fouls. Once Carson gets into the lane, he also has the knack for finding his teammates for easy looks. His best statistical season came as a freshman in 2012 13 when he averaged 18.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 35 games.
For his career, Carson averaged 18.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and nearly a steal in 68 games.
Crawford has been a solid player ever since he stepped on campus at Northwestern. He is a solid athlete who spends most of his time outside the 3 point line where he has proven to be effective. His best season came in 2011 12 when Crawford averaged a career high 16.1 points on the strength of 41.2 percent shooting from behind the arc. That season he also added 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 33 games.
For his career, Crawford averaged 13.4 points, five rebounds and two assists in 143 games.
Zanna is a big strong forward who has always shown the ability to be a good rebounder. As his minutes went up from year to year so did his production. After a solid junior year, Zanna wasn’t fazed by the Panthers’ jump to the ACC as he had his best season in Cheap Jerseys
2013 14. That season, Zanna averaged 13 points on 58.6 percent shooting from the floor to go along with 8.6 rebounds in 35 games.
For his career, he averaged 8.3 points on 55.3 percent shooting from the floor and six rebounds in 135 games.
if the name sounds familiar, that is because Glover played his first two seasons of college ball at the University of Utah. Glover is a good athlete who showed great scoring prowess during his time at Oral Roberts. His most productive season came as a senior when Glover averaged 21.3 points on 49.9 percent shooting from the field to go along with 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.6 blocks in 33 games.
For his career, Glover averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and one block in 126 games.
Releford is an attacking lead guard who can knock down the outside shot and score in bunches. Even though Releford averaged double figures in scoring in each of his four seasons at Alabama, his senior year was by far his most productive. That season Releford averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.2 steals in 31 games.
